Education and Career Plan Documents Now Posted

November 30, 2012 Dear Program Directors, Thank you for your participation in the regional meetings and your feedback on the RFP process, college and career readiness initiatives and the role of advising. The Education and Career Plan documents are now posted on the ACLS homepage under Program Development find "Education and Career Planning." Three documents are provided: The Education and Career Plan template, the Guide to using the document, and the list of elements to include if a program prefers to develop its own tool. Please review the Guide before adapting the tool because of the importance given to the process of advising. Ultimately, this new process should serve students well by helping to engage them in active goal-setting and planning for the future. We understand that advising will occur over time, and that programs will craft strategies for students to engage with an advisor throughout their time in the program.
