Greetings! I am providing you with information about the release of results for ELL students who recently took the ACCESS for ELLs tests.

The ACCESS for ELLs reporting schedule published last September in the Requirements for the Participation of English Language Learners in ACCESS for ELLs (2012-2013 Update) has been revised, due to the extension of the test administration window because of storm-related school closings. The updated reporting schedule is below:

2013 ACCESS for ELLs Reporting Schedule

April 22ELL students' demographic data (based on March SIMS) will be posted to the MetriTech website for review and validation.

Principals will receive two separate emails with login information.
April 22 - April 26Schools will log on to the MetriTech Demographic Data Validation online system to correct discrepancies, as needed, in student Names, SASIDs, Date of Birth, Grade, and "Not Tested" reasons. Schools may contact MetriTech with questions.
May 16ACCESS for ELLs printed reports will be shipped to schools.
May 22ACCESS for ELLs printed reports will be received in schools.
Schools will receive:
  • Parent/Guardian Reports
  • Teacher Reports/Kindergarten Teacher Reports
  • Student Roster Report
  • School Frequency Report
Districts will receive:
  • District Frequency Report
May 22Student data file with 2013 ACCESS for ELLs scores will be posted to Department's Security Portal.

Principals must ensure that student data is accurate in the Demographic Data Validation online system, and that discrepancies are corrected during the April 22-27 data validation period. After that, MetriTech will charge substantial fees for reprinting any reports.

Please contact Paulette Watson in Student Assessment Services with any questions about ACCESS for ELLs testing at pwatson@doe.mass.edu or by phone at 781-338-3625.
