Examine ACP-SC instructional resources
Activity: Unpack, reflect, and discuss one of the following resources, and report out to whole group.
  • ABE Writing and Communication: Realtor Role Play

  • ABE Math: Welding - Cutting Pipe
  • ESL Reading, Listening, Communicating: Assembly
2:00 - 3:15Session 8: Designing Contextualized Instruction
Activity: Participants will select a scenario around which to create a contextualized lesson using a template.
  • Contextualized instruction quick-start
  • Lesson planning template components
  • Activity: Intensive participant lesson development work
3:15 - 3:30Post-Training Activities
  • Post a completed lesson in the private training group in the ACP Community within the next six weeks.
  • Join and participate in the private training group within the ACP Community.
  • Complete the Designing Contextualized Instruction online course (Launch date: Spring 2013).
  • Participate in the ACP Community.
3:30 - 3:45Wrap-Up and Evaluation
