Family Engagement Survey

June 19, 2013 Dear Program Directors, We all know and appreciate that adult learners come to our programs to develop the skills and abilities they need to pursue their goals and aspirations for the future including, for those who are parents, aspirations for their children's futures. In support of these students' goals and the Department's mission "to strengthen the Commonwealth's public education system so that every student is prepared to succeed in postsecondary education, compete in the global economy, and understand the rights and responsibilities of American citizens," ACLS is planning to provide programs with family engagement support and resources in FY14. The goals for this work are to:

Identify family engagement tools and resources that programs are currently using
Identify additional tools and resources to meet program needs
Provide practical methods for sharing tools and resources that address family goals in students' education and career plans, support curriculum development, and lay a foundation for creating a family engagement network among programs

Please help us reach these goals and support your learners who are parents by taking a five minute ABE Family Engagement Tools and Resources survey at http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/1273342/Family-Engagement-Tools-and-Resources. Responses will be aggregated and submitted to ACLS in a summary report. Individual responses are confidential and providing contact information is optional.
