Brief Description of Services
History UnErased, Inc. (HUE) provides elementary, middle and high school teachers with the knowledge and confidence to teach lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) history and content. HUE's participants explore the complexities of introducing LGBTQ history with expert historians, archivists, Library of Congress primary and secondary sources, ONE Archives Foundation at USC Libraries visual history exhibity, and psychosocial and behavioral specialists. HUE's programs and services encompass 3-day session workshops at Lowell National Historical Park, on-site workshops at individual schools with sustained mentorship throughout the academic year, community events that introduce HUE's programs and services to education stakeholders in individual districts, and installation of ONE Archives Foundation at USC Libraries visual history exhibits in schools, libraries, National Historical Parks and companies. All of HUE's programs and services include the use of the Library of Congress primary and secondary sources, ONE Archives Foundation visual history exhibits, and the training of envoys to ensure sustainability.
