Data Analysis (course-taking report)
The Digital Literacy and Computer Science Course-taking Report displays the number or percentage of students completing at least one digital literacy or computer science course in grades K–12. This data was reported by districts in the Student Course Schedule (SCS) system. Additional details and student demographics can be found by selecting the district or school.

Supporting Students

MassCORE
MassCore is a state-recommended program of study intended to align high school coursework with college and workforce expectations. Students may substitute one unit of an approved Computer Science for a mathematics course or a laboratory science course. Approved courses include:

Licensure

The Digital Literacy and Computer Science Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) is available for certification for the MA 5–12 DLCS Teacher License. The previously-used competency review process is no longer available for educators seeking licensure. Information about what is on the test can be found on the Pearson MTEL webpage. Candidates can register for the test on the Evaluation Systems Group (ES) of Pearson website.
