Data Collection

>Directory Administration
Directory Administration allows one central depository for district and school level data and provides an efficient mode for maintaining and updating educational information between the Department and targeted school administrators, legislators, municipal leaders and others.

>EPIMS: Education Personnel Information Management System
The Department plans to collect individual educator data from all districts and charter schools in the fall of 2007, replacing the current District and School Staffing Report (DSSR). The system was developed in collaboration with a pilot group of districts. The pilot group submitted data in the fall of 2006.

>SIMS: Student Information Management System
The Student Information Management System (SIMS) is a student-level data collection system that allows the Department to collect and analyze more accurate and comprehensive information, to meet federal and state reporting requirements, and to inform policy and programmatic decisions.

>Reporting Schedule and Documentation
This sections lists all reports for the current school year. It includes paper reports, electronic web-based forms and electronic file submissions. Documentation related to each collection can also be found here.
