Charter School Remote Learning

Many charter schools have transitioned to providing students and families with educational resources to help students continue learning while schools are closed. Below is a list of what some charter schools are doing to provide remote learning opportunities to students. This list is not comprehensive, and inclusion on the list does not constitute an endorsement by the Department.

Academy of the Pacific Rim	Boston	5–12	545	The school created a website to support remote learning for students. The school also provided guidance for teachers on how to upload videos, documents, and interactive materials.
Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School	Devens	7–12	400	The school posts its learning plans each week and weekly newsletters to families on the school's website.
Hampden Charter School of Science	Chicopee & West Springfield	6–12	HCSS-East: 560 HCSS-West: 588	The school created a virtual school website to provide pre-recorded lessons for students, assignments on Google classroom, and live sessions with teachers every day.
Map Academy Charter School	Plymouth	9–12	300	The school created a virtual student center to provide students guidance on how to access support while learning from home.
Roxbury Preparatory Charter School	Boston	5–12	1800	The school is part of the Uncommon Schools Network and the network has released a remote learning plan for grades K–8 and for grades 9–12.
