Phase 3: Implement Plan Resources

In this phase of the PfS process, districts or schools create their one-year action plan to implement the multi-year improvement plan. As communities engage in this work, they:

  • Create an annual action plan with progress and impact benchmarks
  • Monitor and publicly report on progress
  • Redesign the District Plan if necessary

The table below outlines the activities involved in facilitating the development of the annual action plan and provides access to the DIY facilitation resources and PfS worksheets and templates that support these activities. The facilitation resources provide information about how to facilitate each activity, including suggested meeting agendas, timeframes, and presentation slide text.

Districts or schools interested in creating an action plan from an existing plan, particularly one not created with the Planning for Success process, may want to conduct a plan assessment in order to identify strategic initiatives for action planning. The Planning for Success Plan Assessment worksheet is available in the table below as part of planning activity 1. Preparing to Action Plan.
