Every three years the Office of Public School Monitoring (PSM) conducts a review in the areas of special education and civil rights through a process called an Integrated Monitoring Review (IMR). This year, PSM will conduct approximately 114 reviews; your school district is scheduled for an IMR-Group A review during the 2026-2027 school year. All districts scheduled for a TFM-Group A review during the 2025-2026 SY will conduct a civil rights self-assessment through the Web-Based Monitoring System (WBMS) and submit SPP/APR Indicators 11, 12 and 13 through our new Communication Hub and Monitoring Portal (CHAMP) system. To assist your staff with the IMR civil rights self-assessment and Indicator submission process, PSM is offering training sessions via Zoom this year. During this training, we will also go over a pre-review checklist to support your staff as they prepare for the special education component of the IMR. We recommend that your district’s Director of Special Education, district-wide Civil Rights Coordinator, and other key administrative staff members register and attend.
