The lists of arbitration awards issued under G. L. c. 71 has been updated. The longer list contains summaries organized by statutory sections. For example, teacher dismissal awards under G.L. c. 71, § 42, ¶ 3, are described in Section II (A). The shorter list is organized chronologically. The chronological list includes the basis for the disciplinary action and the name of the arbitrator who rendered the award.

If you would like a copy of an award, please write, email, fax (781) 338-3390, or call me at (781) 338-3400. For longer requests, please put request in writing. Please include the name of the school district and the employee's initials, if noted, the date of the award and the name of the arbitrator. Pursuant to Massachusetts Public Records Law, G.L. c. 66, § 10, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education may charge a "reasonable fee" for copying.
