Direct Certification: Webinar for SY 2014-2015

The Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act, as amended by the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA), requires a unified accountability system designed to ensure that participating school food authorities (SFAs) comply with National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) requirements. The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Office for Nutrition, Health and Safety Programs has currently scheduled a webinar on Direct Certification. The purpose of this webinar is to demonstrate how to use the Virtual Gateway to complete the direct certification process. Please remember that according to Federal Regulations, Direct Certification needs to be completed at least three times a year. For more information, visit Eligibility Manual for School Meals 2014.
