Why HTML?

Our convention is to use HTML for files less than 4 or 5 pages in length without special formatting, charts, images, etc.

Here's why:

  • HTML is the most accessible format - It is highly structured and surrounds every sentence, list, heading etc. with code that assistive software can easily consume.
  • HTML is more user friendly and easier to support - It opens right in the browser, it does not need to launch another software program to read it. The experience for each user is identical, it doesn't matter which versions of office, acrobat, or web browser they use.
