Brief Description of Services
Student Achievement Partners (achievethecore.org) has praised the quality and standards alignment of ANet’s instructional materials and professional development. Further, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) recently classified ANet ELA and math assessments and supporting materials as Tier 1—“Exemplifies quality: Meets all non-negotiable criteria and scored the best possible on all indicators of superior quality.” Third-party investigations confirm that ANet’s tools and services are making an impact on teachers, leaders, and school structures. ANet partnered with Harvard University’s Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) to conduct an i3-funded random assignment study of our work with schools. The study found that ANet tools and support are of a higher quality than the control group and that ANet support is leading to real practice change in schools: - Teacher collaboration is happening more regularly and more productively at ANet schools than at control schools. - Leaders are building routines that facilitate strong teacher development and are building skill in how to leverage that time effectively. - Teachers are developing critical skills of analysis and planning. Results from the study affirm our belief that data and assessment can be a useful lever to improve student achievement when strong practices are in place to facilitate change. Further, this evaluation of our Core Model showed that ANet partner schools that have basic conditions for partnership in place significantly outperform non-ANet schools. This outperformance translated to 4-6 months of additional learning for students in ANet partner schools over the two-year study period compared to students in control schools.
