Joint DESE/DCF Advisory Regarding Mandated Reporting Responsibilities of School Personnel in Cases of Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect — This advisory serves to assist school personnel in carrying out their responsibilities as mandated reporters under Massachusetts General Laws c. 119, §51A.
Promoting Student Engagement, Learning, Wellbeing and Safety — This guidance supports district efforts to promote the wellbeing of students, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is intended to help districts develop, strengthen, and implement comprehensive systems for engaging with students and their families, connecting students and families with additional supports they may need, and promoting student safety.
