Priority Partners for Turnaround is an initiative aimed at recruiting, vetting, supporting and networking organizations that have a track record of success in supporting district and school turnaround. Priority Partners apply for, and can be approved to provide services in 6 categories, which are aligned with the turnaround practices. When funding has been available, the Department has also offered competitive investments in partners to expand their reach or to innovate new practices. Finally, the Department sponsored research on the habits and conditions of successful partnerships and developed several resources for districts to strengthen their management of partners. These resources can be found on the Massachusetts Tools for Schools website.
