MA SIF Basics

• EOE will provide you with a current copy of our error message coding upon request to facilitate the development of troubleshooting tools in your SIS.

• It is recommended that vendors publish a mapping document from the SIS to the DESE data collection elements for each collection and the additional SIF elements used in validations and data translation.

• Business rules for each collection can be found on the DESE Data Collection website. Navigate using the left bar to the desired collection or the current reporting schedule for the year.

• MA vendors work closely with the EOE SIF Project team and the districts to resolve technical issues and questions regarding errors.
