Join Department of Elementary and Secondary Education DESE's Dual Language Bilingual Education Leaders Community of Practice!

This Community of Practice supports and connects Dual Language Bilingual Education DLBE Leaders across the commonwealth of Massachusetts with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education DESE staff, Multistate Association for Bilingual Education MABE partners, and experts in the field of Bilingual Education as they implement, expand or consider the implementation of Dual Language Bilingual Education DLBE programs.

The goals of the Community of Practice CoP are:

• To share problems of practice
• To collaborate and identify solutions
• To become familiar with the new Dual Language Bilingual Education DLBE Department of Elementary and Secondary Education DESE resources

We will meet monthly in virtual meetings, 9:30 – 10:45 am (75 minutes). A zoom link with registration will be shared prior to each monthly meeting.

• Jan. 21, 2026 — Quick Reference Guide QRG Dual Language Bilingual Education DLBE Enrollment
• Feb. 3, 2026 — Quick Reference Guide QRG Dual Language Bilingual Education DLBE Curriculum Alignment Plan
• March 18, 2026 — Quick Reference Guide QRG English as a Second Language ESL in Dual Language Bilingual Education DLBE Programs
• April 15, 2025 — Quick Reference Guide QRG English as a Second Language ESL in Dual Language Bilingual Education DLBE Programs
• May 13, 2026 — Guidance for Implementing Transitional Bilingual Education TBE Programs
