Making Money Matter (M3): Tips for Team Membership

The district leadership team that attends the technical assistance (TA) convenings in October and January should be made up of individuals who have the authority to make decisions about necessary changes in the district.

The Department recommends that the leadership team include the following representations:

  1. Special education programming and compliance
  2. General education programming and/or curriculum and instruction
  3. Data Team
    Important note: Particularly in October, districts need a team-member who has access to and a deep understanding of your district's general and special education data.
  4. Career and technical education
  5. Other

Work to close success gaps requires general and special education decision makers to collaborate deeply to improve all students' outcomes. Special education can't do it alone!
