Aligned to Advance Career Technical Education CTE's National Career Clusters® Framework , the Energy & Natural Resources cluster prepares students for careers generating, managing, and conserving energy and natural resources. It spans areas such as environmental science and technology and the sustainable use of natural systems.
Designated at the cluster level, Innovation Career Pathways (ICPs) are designed to expose students to a specific high-demand industry. Districts and schools build a sequence of coursework and career immersion experiences, such as an internship or a capstone project, with local employer partners. The following Scope and Sequence templates are a planning tool for Innovation Career Pathways ICPs to map out a coherent 4-year progression of courses, content, and skilling in alignment with the Innovation Career Pathways ICP Criteria .
