Welcome Massachusetts Educators

Massachusetts provides resources for interdisciplinary and embedded content that make critical connections between technical and academic skills. Each published framework on the Career Connected Learning Hub will include sample lessons aligned with the Massachusetts curriculum standards. The real-world, relevant math resources support educators in fulfilling Strand 2: Embedded Academics for state-approved Career Technical Education (CTE) programs. The framework pages have these resources linked as part of the implementation resources.

Improving Math Proficiency

As part of an effort to bring real-world math and content driven by the Massachusetts labor market, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education DESE has teamed up with Pathway2Careers P2C to deliver solutions that not only transform the future prosperity of individual students but also the economies of whole communities.

Through this partnership, educators located in Massachusetts have access to Pathway2Careers P2C Math, Career Explorer, and the Financial Literacy program at no additional charge. The Pathway2Careers P2C Product Success team will work with you to ensure the successful implementation of Pathway2Careers P2C's real-world focused math curriculum.

Curriculum Crosswalks

Pathway2Careers P2C Math can be used to support and strengthen your existing curriculum by offering students an opportunity to see why a math concept is relevant to a real-world career. The Pathway2Careers P2C team is aligning Pathway2Careers P2C Math to materials published through the Massachusetts Curriculum Ratings by Teachers CURATE reports. Combining Pathway2Careers P2C Math with recommended materials will produce powerful outcomes that accelerate student learning throughout the state. Crosswalks are available on the Pathway2Careers P2C site.

Example Lessons:

On the site, you'll find over 800 math lessons. The information below includes just some examples available on Pathway2Careers P2C and their alignment to the Career Connected Learning Frameworks. Example Lessons are presented in one of two ways:

• Application — Application lessons are focused on a single career and the numerous ways a math concept is used in carrying out the work of that career.
• Exploration — Exploration lessons show how a specific math concept is used across several careers, including the one in the specific Career Technical Education CTE program area.
