Spreadsheet Issues, FY26 End of Year Financial Report

FY26 End of Year Financial Report (EOYR) workbooks are currently available in the ESE Security Portal.

We encourage school officials completing the FY26 EOYR to contact DESE about any technical difficulties they encounter (downloading and uploading, macros, printing, cell references, etc). If such problems are confirmed, this document will identify them and explain how to correct them if necessary.

Spreadsheet Issues:

  1. Districts that participated in the Tiered Math Academy, services provided through Carnegie Learning, are required to report the dollar value of the goods and services that they received from the Department through this program on the EOYR.

    This spreadsheet shows the dollar value of the goods and services that participating districts received, allocated to function code 2358 Outside Professional Development Providers for Instructional Staff.

    These funds were included with the grant revenues prepopulated on line 300, see the detailed grant revenues file on the FY26 EOYR page. The expenditures (value of the goods and services received) should be reported by function and school (or districtwide) on Schedule 3 under the Other DESE Administered Federal column. It is important to note that while these revenues and expenditures are required to be reported on your EOYR, you do not need to include them on your district's financial statements.

  2. Grant 594S [Prism III (Summer Only)] was populated in cell I38 (Federal, DESE Administered Grants, Undistributed). It should have been populated in cell I510 (State, DESE Administered Grants, Undistributed). Please deduct the amount from cell I38 and add it to cell I510.

  3. Question 4 on the Regions QUESTION tab should be a Yes/No prompt. As a workaround, please enter "Yes" or "No," as appropriate, in the Comments tab.

  4. Some districts received overpayments for FY26 homeless transportation reimbursements. The original payments were recovered and the correct payments were issued.
