Schools must complete the Student Registration/Personal Needs Profile (SR/PNP) process during the windows listed below for each administration. The SR/PNP process is used to register students for both computer-based and paper-based testing and to order student test materials.
To assist schools in registering students, on the first day of each SR/PNP window, DESE will place a .CSV file in MCAS 2024 DropBoxes (MCAS 2023 DropBox for the November retests only) in the DESE Security Portal. For assistance logging in to the Security Portal, contact the district (or organization) Directory Administrator.

Questions about the SR/PNP should be directed to the MCAS Service Center at 800-737-5103, and policy questions should be directed to DESE at 781-338-3625. High schools should note that if they do not have students participating in one of the fall/winter administrations or June Science, they must email the MCAS Service Center prior to the end of the window with the district name and code, as the MCAS Service Center will call schools serving high school students that do not complete the SR/PNP or do not contact them before the deadline.
