The Student Opportunity Act calls for every district in the state to develop 3-year gap-closing plans, commonly referred to as SOA Plans. Please note that districts' 3-year gap-closing plans highlight a few evidence-based program areas they identified as key levers for closing opportunity gaps experienced by student groups they serve. These plans are not expected to reflect districts' comprehensive plans for improvement; if you are interested in a district's comprehensive improvement plan, we recommend visiting the district's website.
The Student Opportunity Act Dashboard is a searchable database that allows users to view individual districts' 3-year gap-closing plans. This dashboard integrates data from districts' original SOA plans and FY22 plan amendments. This Guide to the SOA Dashboard provides more specific details about data presented in each section of the dashboard.
Important Considerations When Reading District Plans.
Note: Districts' original 3-year gap-closing plans (SOA Plans), submitted between April 2020 and January 2021, can be accessed on the Districts' Original 3-year Gap-Closing Plans page.
