FY2023: Perkins Program Improvement & Equipment Grant

Purpose:

The purpose of this targeted grant is to provide program improvement resources to districts eligible for Federal Perkins funds in FY2022.

Priorities:

Priorities for this grant include, but are not limited to:

Priority One:

  • Providing resources for Perkins program improvement to districts. Expenditures, including equipment, must align with Perkins allowable cost requirements and drive program improvement.

Priority Two:

  • Districts participating in the pilot of the new Quality Support System are eligible for up to an additional $10,000 for work related to planning or implementing program improvements aligned with participation.

Approximately 1,460,000 is available.

Funding is contingent upon availability. All dollar amounts listed are estimated/approximate and are subject to change.

Dollars not claimed by the submission deadline will be reallocated to other eligible districts. If more funding becomes available, it will be distributed to districts that indicate in their Part III that they have additional funding needs aligned to the purpose of this grant.

Fund Use:

Funding must be used to support Perkins Program improvement and align with Perkins allowable expenses. Note: All funding received for this grant must be expended during this summer grant period ending on August 31, 2022.

Submit all required grant materials through EdGrants

In EdGrants, districts are required to create and name the project. Please use the following naming convention for your "Applicant Project Name" in EdGrants:

  • FY23 Perkins Program Improvement & Equipment Grant (Applicant Name)

All items listed under the required forms section of this RFP should be uploaded / attached in the Attachments List formlet of the Application Submission in EdGrants. This includes a signed / scanned PDF of Part I / Coversheet with Superintendent's signature as well as Schedule A form, if applicable to your district. The final budget the applicant is requesting will be entered directly into EdGrants as part of the application submission process.

Please note: It is up to the district to determine who they want to add as EdGrants Front Office users in order to submit grant application as well as payment request information.
