• How should I calculate full-time equivalent?

  A full-time faculty or staff member should count as 1 and a faculty or staff member working half-time for the educator preparation programs should count as .5. For many institutions, a full-time teaching load for a faculty member is considered 4 courses, but this may vary across institutions and for alternative preparation programs. Your organization will need to determine what counts as a full-time faculty or staff member and then use that as the basis for calculating full-time equivalent faculty and staff.
