The purpose of this RFP is to administer state legislative earmarks to Public School districts as outlined in An Act Relative to Immediate COVID-19 Recovery Needs.

State Funded Legislative Earmark
Approximately, $4,835,000 is available across these three accounts, fund codes 196, 197, and 198 for various earmarks to public schools.
Section 2A. The sums set forth in this section are hereby appropriated from the federal COVID-19 response fund established in section 2JJJJJ of chapter 29 of the General Laws and the Transitional Escrow Fund established in section 16 of chapter 76 of the acts of 2021 for the several purposes and subject to the conditions specified in this act, and subject to the laws regulating the disbursement of public funds for the fiscal year in which the sums are disbursed. These sums shall be in addition to any amounts previously appropriated and made available for the purposes of those items. These sums set forth in this section shall be made available until June 30, 2027.

These earmarked funds can be utilized from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027.
If you do not intend to use any funding in FY2022 (1/1/2022 - 6/30/2022) do not apply for this grant funding until the FY in which you intend to obligate and expend the funding.
